The mixes come of age! Volume 18 begins with a couple of dog & pony shows, very different songs despite the same name, a lot of rude words in the Consolidated one though, so, you know, parental advisory etc.
Special mentions go to Angkorwat and Hong Kong in the 60s, two tracks off the excellent “Outer Church” compilation CD, all sorts of strange and beautiful stuff on that double disc set. Also to two of the oddest cover versions you’re likely to hear in a while, Blackbox Recorder’s breathy take on the 70s reggae hit and a very English take on The Fresh Prince’s hit from 93 by Mark Hibbett and the gang!
